The Fundamentals of Witchcraft

Melanie is the owner of London’s Seven Sisters Ritual Apothecary. Her particular blend of craft involves Traditional Witchcraft, Ancient Mysticism and Shamanism. She is initiated as both Witch and Priestess. Aside from curating her offerings for SvS, Melanie also teaches witchcraft and holds sabbath and lunar circles within her community.

Magick is a practice of wielding energy. It is a way of life that reclaims the power within through connecting to Source within and without. By connecting to the natural currents of energy that flow through us, as well as those spiritual allies that surround us, our ability to make manifest our deep desires and protect ourselves from undesirable forces, becomes very real. When the Craft is embarked upon properly, and with reverence, it can be truly, deeply life changing.

So where do you start? With so much information (and misinformation) at our fingertips, it can be overwhelming when you first feel the call to the craft. This class is written to support you in your beginnings, through a solid understanding of how to keep yourself grounded, and safe. The techniques learnt in this 2 hour workshop will be utilized for the rest of your lifelong practice, as the foundations that support you in all of your magical workings.

In this 2 hour class we will discuss the fundamental principles to putting your magic to work! This is an excellent class for anyone new to witchcraft, or anyone who has been away from their practice for a while and are looking to reconnect.

We will cover such topics as:

The Witches Pyramid, Ethics, Grounding and Securing your container, Setting sacred space, How to clear your space, Circle Casting, The Watch Towers, Spirit Relationships, Invocation/ Evocation/ Invitation, Planetary, weekday and moon phase correspondence, Different kinds of spells and magical operations, The Power of The Spoken Word, and more!
